How my journey began…
It's never too late to start something new.
My parents gave me a paint set for Christmas the year I turned 40.
With a little direction from the internet and a lot from my neighbour artist friend, I started pouring my pent up passion onto canvas. For years I had been asking God what He wanted me to do with all of this emotional energy I had been bottling up forever. First He said prayer...and I did, then He said paint...and I am. Pray and paint. Still my two personal places of expression, peace, joy and productivity. Grace.
The two things that charm me most, in this world, are truth and beauty. They are interchangeable, inseparable and create a crescendo of worship to the One I love most and lasting pleasure for me. My prayer every time I pick up a brush is that my work will reflect His truth and beauty...in a way that has His and my fingerprints on it, together. I am still amazed and grateful that others, besides the two of us, find an emotional connection and pleasure in my art. That I can do something I love so much and share it with you is a dream come true....not a dream that I had, but one given to me.

Who is Holly?
My fairy tale childhood gave me the strong foundation I needed for life in Christ and a heritage of strong, Godly ancestors. I received an education as a teacher and a best friend/partner for life in my husband during my early 20's. The next 10 years were jam packed with surviving 4 difficult pregnancies, a roller coaster ministry with Guy and watching God turn a caterpillar marriage into a gorgeous butterfly. My "forties" has given me two amazing daughters-in-law, deeper closeness to God and His church, and this...a love affair with art! Now, entering my 50’s, being a new grandmother and “retired” homeschool mom, a new colorful chapter of my life is being unveiled. I know it will involve much learning, hoping and waiting as God continues to help me grow and transform my heart and mind into one closer to His. That's what it's all about...becoming more like Him. On a less serious side, I am a passionate, pleasure seeking energizer bunny, who just wants to make THIS day fun and worthwhile for all I love!! I want to learn everything, experience much and share all of the good parts with those who have ears to hear. My wish for you is to know Him and to to know yourself...the place where truth and beauty meet :)
