When Jesus called His first disciples, they were fishing. Just doin' their thing, faithful and inglorious. I often wonder how hard it was for them to drop their nets and follow. Did some of them so love their trade that it was hard? Were they tired of the exhausting hauling and relieved to let it go? Or maybe the simple security of having an income was enough to make the response difficult? I don't know for sure. I do know though, that when Jesus calls us away from something, it's for something better…

Waking up can be hard to do. Even if the body has no trouble, the mind can exhaust us before we even get the day started. Getting the body and mind set to having a "good day" must be intentional. We have to fight off negativity, fear and defeat first thing...before it gets a hold...It's hard to shake..
