“Gems of Childhood”

There are many moments when I wish I could go back to those childhood days. Without a care in the world, all we did was explore and play, sleep and eat. I was blessed to live in a place where the river lined our front yard and the woods deepened our back yard...tons of earth to explore.

Countless hours in the fresh air and sunshine. Countless beach stones, driftwood and flowers collected.

Countless memories with friends discovering our world and imaginations.

What an awesome foundation.

I'm rediscovering these wonder years a bit, with grandchildren. They allow me to go back, get down and pick up some of those little gems of childhood again. To collect treasures and awe at the tiny bits of creation that make up this amazing place we call home.

We need to be children again...and again...and again. It's good for the soul and resets our heart to what is really important.
